Escape to Life – The Authors' Journey

On Friday the 7th of the 7th at 7 pm we hosted in our own home the book launch for our Book “Escape to Life: From Syria to Safety.”

We had a wonderful evening surrounded by an amazing audience. The weather was fantastic, the setting was perfect. Weeks of hard work transforming our Garden into an amazing “Oasis” absolutely paid off.

From the Arabic instrumental music, to the Arabic food, to even the sand on which the candles sat, it all created an extraordinary atmosphere which served as the perfect setting for our book Launch.

I read from the book and Anna, my friend who is a singer, sang songs which were fitting to the parts of the book I read.

It was very emotional and exciting at the same time. At the end of the book presentation we sold the equivalent to 1 book per family that was there although some bought 2. It was a 100 % success! One of the best parts of the evening were the comments from those that were present. Every single one was positive, encouraging and touching. We donated the proceeds to help women who are victims of domestic violence.

We were so very proud to be presenting “Escape to Life: From Syria to Safety.” and so pleased with the wonderful evening we all enjoyed.

Since Friday we have received a huge amount of positive feedback, including people coming back to get another book to give as a present or so that husband and wife can read the book at the same time! 😃

Thank you to everyone who helped us make Friday possible. Thank you for the lovely presents, the support, love and encouragement from everyone that joined us for what turned out to be just the most magical evening. We are so grateful.
